It was dark. A soft breeze coming from the north. The sound of the birds had faded as the night had fallen. The soft sound of a newborn vampire's bare feet lightly touching the ground could only be heard from people like her. Her sensitive ears heard her hair whipping behind her as she ran faster then a human would ever dream. The sounds of of everything in complete detail. She stopped quickly. She had a hard time using her powers while running. She closed her red eyes in concentration. Where was her best friend and almost mother? She thought it was great that she'd finally been let alone to hunt, yet somewhere inside her it was only so Cynthia could see how much better Cariven's powers had become over the last few months.
Cynthia was walking in the forest, not far from where Cariven stood. Her blond hair perfectly still intact after running. She'd been hunting. Cariven could tell for her eyes were now golder then before. She smiled as though she knew that the younger vampire was trying hard to find where she was. Then her voice rang out telling Cariven where she was. Cariven hated how she never let her fully use her powers. Obviously she was annoyed with her in some way.
With a sharp turn Cariven began running again toward where Cynthia had said she was. Sure enough within a few minutes she could smell her. She slowed slightly, yet she felt like she had energy to run for years without stopping. Shaking her head she remembered she could. It seldomly escaped her mind that she never had to do human things again or so she thought. She also remembered what she'd heard Cynthia say when she'd been trying to find her. She'd grumbled that she heard the sound of chimes on the breeze. Cariven bit her perfect pink bottom lip. So, that was how she knew. She concentrated again to find her friend that was only three football field lengths away. This time she wouldn't let the chimes come. With a grin she saw Cynthia acting as normal. Maybe she'd done it correctly this time, more secretly.
She walked a human speed toward where she assumed her friend was waiting. Oddly the thought of William, Cynthia's mate, had wanted them to come to Europe. So far she'd like the country side of Italy. She also could feel the sting of her throat as she also thought of all the airport people even if they'd rode in a private jet just for her. Cariven placed a hand on her neck. She then went back to the thought of Will, it was less painful. He'd told her that the vampire royals lived here. A smile flashed on her face then. She wanted to meet them, to be one of them. They sounded so powerful and great. They kept the vampire world under control something she like to do. They were almost all like her with powers. She would fit in, maybe. She could spy on people, find them, and what she'd been trying lately, learning things about them. She shook her head, coming back to reality. Cynthia was closer now and Cariven hurried to find her.
((sorry I was in a hurry to write it. It's not very good.))

It was very dark with a soft breeze coming from the north. The sound of birds leaving was heard. There was also the sound of foot steps off in the distance. Cynthia smiled when she knew that the footsteps belonged to Cariven. Maybe she caught something Cynthia thought. Cynthia had let Cariven hunt on her own tonight to see how her powers were progressing. Cynthia then took her mind off the subject and looked around, she had had enough animal blood all ready so she was going to practice her powers. She then spotted a large boulder off in the distance and ran over to in quickly. She then locked her eyes on and repeated to herself focus in her mind. The boulder then rose several feet in the air and floated there. "Good." Cynthia said to herself. She then made the boulder go around in circles before she made it rise higher. "Cool." Cynthia murmured. As Cynthia made the boulder do some flips she suddenly felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand up and heard a soft chime in the air, so soft that only a vampire would be able to hear it. She then lost her concentration on the boulder and it came crashing down to the ground with a huge bang. She then instantly knew that it was Cariven who caused the distraction. She then stood there smiling, knowing that Cariven was watching her or at least trying to. "I'm over her, and you know it! And if you don't get over her quickly I will make you!" Cynthia then felt her hairs go back down on the back of her neck.
Farther out Cynthia heard someone running toward her ,which she knew that it was Cariven by her smell. When Cariven was about three footballs lengths away she stopped. What is she doing this time Cynthia wondered. Cynthia's hairs then stood up on the back of her neck again. That's odd I don't recall hearing chimes ,well anyway I know she's tracking me. That girl is so stubborn Cynthia thought to herself. Cynthia then searched the clearing and saw Cariven walking at a human speed toward her. Cynthia started to get inpatient so she closed her eyes and transported Cariven to where she was only about three steps away from her. She then waited for Cariven to open up her eyes.
((Sorry it's short))

Cariven stopped breathing while taking her slow steps. Her eyes automatically closing. She knew what was happening the second she began to hold her breath. She clenched her teeth to stop herself from screaming with annoyance. She hated when Cynthia did this to her. She'd be in one place and a second later another. It was as though her friend could control where she went. She fearfully opened her eye the slightest bit and saw only darkness. Quickly she shut it again, almost afraid of the unknown around her. Her feet still blindly moving. Her mind went dizzy as she shuffled through wherever she was. Her bare feet touching nothing, but the air around her.
Suddenly they were on the damp earth. Her eyes would not open at first. She tripped forward past waiting Cynthia. By now you would for thought she'd become better at this. With a sigh she stood up straight, opening her eyes. They seemed to glow even in the dark, red and terrifying. At least with older vampires their eyes were gold or black so they seemed fairly normal. Whenever she was around a human she had to where contacts. She hadn't minded them much, still oddly, being slightly afraid of her own eyes. She fit in better that way. It wasn't like she'd been around many humans lately. Only a few times to tell the truth.
The newborn's head turned slightly as she picked up a noise coming toward them from far off. It was strange, she thought they were alone. As the wind blew toward them she could smell vampires, yet ones she had never met. She wished her powers were strong enough for her to see people coming, but they were still developing. She stepped behind Cynthia. Maybe these new comers were humans and she was not recognizing the smell correctly. She wouldn't let herself lung for them after just feeding. If she was behind Cynthia there was a better chance she could be stopped. "Who is it?" She whispered in her soft, high, bell voice. She expected something like "Why don't you tell me? Your the one with the tracking powers!" Come from her friend. Cariven had to look up to see Cynthia's face. Sometimes she hated being only 5'2".
With concentration she could see people in black robes. There was more then one, but she was having a difficult time seeing through the blurs of not having well trained powers yet. She thought harder. She saw red eyes, yes, that's what they were and pale skin. Defiantly vampires. She hadn't needed anyone to tell her that.
"Cynthia? Do you know of any vampires that wear black robes? I think I saw some with my powers. Do you have any ideas?" Cariven's voiced moved so fast a human would be unable to hear it.

Volterra, Italy. This beautiful city had been home to the young looking vampire for as long as he could remember, which at his age, is a long time. three centuries, give or take Alec has held the same position with the Volturi, being apart of their guard, one of the more valuable ones along with his sister. despite having been a little put off by this whole immortal life, alec wouldn’t trade it now, for anything. not going on any longer wasn’t a concept for him, it didn’t seem possible. for one to walk the earth for so long and then not doing so was bizarre in a sense. one thing he would like to change about his life, or whatever it was would be his appearance, his size. Alec didn’t like being seen as a twelve year old boy. never ageing was the one thing about immortality that the vampire didn’t like, left him a bit bitter about age, jealous maybe but he wouldn’t admit to that to anyone. though Alec figured the way he felt about his appearance was rather obvious to those that had been around him this long, mostly to Jane if anyone.
tonight though, those thoughts were far from the vampires mind. he had other pressing matters on his hands. evening had fallen on the beautiful city and Alec, along with a few others were out watching the perimeter, making sure that the place was free of those that shouldn’t be here. his black robe, which was his daily attire was drawn closed around his tiny frame while the hood shadowing his face enough for his burgundy eyes to penetrate through the darkness. it was a quiet night, just like Alec liked it to be, gave him time to think while he walked the perimeter. it was his usual routine for the evening even if it wasn’t necessary to be done. Alec just liked to walk the city, at night when no one else was really around. he’d been a bit restless lately, mainly since the last time they visited the Cullen vampires. something about that last visit didn’t sit right with him. they should have come back victorious over them, they broke the rules before the half-breed, but Aro insisted so they all complied. but he knew he wasn’t alone in his thoughts now, something had to be done.
the course change of the wind interrupted his thoughts, something was off causing his leisurely pace to come to a halt instantly. two new vampire smells filled the air and he stood completely still trying to place the position of the two vampires as he listened for any sign of more vampires or danger. that’s when he heard the crash, one that turned his head and got his feet moving but still he kept a cautious pace. Alec couldn’t be sure what caused the crash but he was going to find out easy way or not. Aro, Caius and Marcus would surely like their visitors to be brought to their attention. the petit vampire picked his pace up a bit since judging by the sound he was a bit of a distance away. he probably could have made it to almost a few feet from them if the wind didn’t change again, that he knew would carry his scent towards the female vampires. pulling in another lung full of the air, he made sure there was still only two unfamiliar scents floating around. he could smell Jane in the distance, she’d soon be by his side minutes, maybe give or take.
Coming closer he could hear their voices much clearer, make out every syllable and even their breathing patterns. He concluded one of them was either a newborn vampire or a very poorly informed one. most knew what the Volturi, or the guard looked like, even if they hadn’t seen them before. the vampire world talked therefore encounters with this large coven would be well known throughout their world. Someone would have to inform the girl quickly, more of a chance she’d live longer into eternity that way. of course Alec could have made his way to stand in front of them without them evening knowing of his advancement. but his power tended to cause panic and hysteria once their sense was returned and he wasn’t in the mood for it at the moment. He’d leave any of the torturing to Jane for the evening.
stopping a mile or two away from them he paused to hear if the other vampire was going to answer. patience was a virtue yes, but wasn’t on that Alec care too much for most of the time. glancing around to see if there was a sign of another guard member close to him he trained his eyes back on the vampires before him. removing his hood, the slight wind stirred his short dark hair as he walked towards them once again though this time he didn’t care what speed he took. Alec wanted to know who they were and what had caused the noise, surely a human or two could have heard that. coming to a stop a few feet in front of the girls, one the younger standing behind the gold eyed vampire. Perfect, another one that insists on making a mockery of us. he thought to himself, the younger one, the new born didn’t look much older then him, maybe late teens though happily he saw they were the same height. “Can I help you with something?” he asked, not really trying to sound friendly.

The smell of the wood, it was something that was ever so comforting, so peaceful most of the time. However over the last few centuries it had become something that grew less peaceful and more war ridden. Luckily since joining the Volturi, this young girl had only had one or two uncomfortable moments in this particular wood; though she did have a habit of venturing into other woods for frivolous torture.
Jane Devilli was one of the guard, a highly respected member of the Volturi, and in a matter of speaking, highly feared as well. This was something she was very proud of, very few vampires weren't scared of her, two being Aro and Alec, her dear father figure and twin brother. It was their nightly task as members of the guard to protect Volterra, and during the night when most people would be settling down for the night, was when any vampiric activity would take place. Of course there had been a few exceptions to that rule, but over all most vampires weren’t that gutsy and vouched for the cover of darkness.
Jane and Alec both lead their own parties of guard through separate sections of the wood, at certain intervals the two parties would meet up and decide whether to continue on separately or go together down a different path. It just so happened that Jane caught the whiff of unfamiliar vampires near by. Luckily for the guard, the vampires would soon be surrounded from all directions.
With hood covering her entirety she and the guard pursue the culprits very closely and swiftly as to not be noticed. As they neared the interval she knew only moments from now Alec's party would run into the vampires. Through her guard she managed to find out a basic identity to them both. Two girls, both were fairly new to vampiric activity, though one was especially new. Supposedly one can read minds of other people, how well they could read the mind was uncertain, but she was prepared at least. Jane blocked her mind as best as she could, changing her thought every three seconds to avoid giving the vampire time to figure out what was coming. Soon enough she smelt the familiar scent of her brother and then his party. They rarely worked alone, after all they were twins, they had done everything together from birth, it was unlikely they would stop any time soon now in their eternal afterlife.
Before long she got close enough to see Alec address the girls, one already looking scared out of her mind, and the other just seemed startled. "Good, they will be easy." She thought to herself before changing the topic in her head so that the mind reader could not catch what she thought.
She watched as the party under Alec moved in to surround the girls from one side, only five in his party though, therefore she positioned her five to follow suit and just as Alec spoke all ten surrounded the pair.
Jane simply let a wicked smile engulf her face whilst her visage went from alter to alluring. She was preparing herself for a good dose of fun. It had been a while since she had been able to torture anyone, and was ever so eager to see if they were worth her powers or not. After all, if you came to Volterra you always had to pay a visit to the Volturi. Whether to die, to live, you always had to go through them, that was the way of life for vampires in these parts, and it just so happened theses young girls were conveniently- in their jurisdiction.
Jane appeared out of the shadows, though she did not immediately take up alongside her brother, she rather preferred to stand her ground as of this current moment, she noticed they seemed to be so much more terrifying when one was on either side of the victims for some reason. Jane lived for fear, and she could already smell it. Her ruby iris' scanned the girls once over, they looked very young indeed, though still physically older than both her and her brother, not by much however.
Her eyes were all that could be seen from under the hood, which unlike Alec, she did not wish to reveal herself yet. She could be just as scary as a faceless voice, than as a girl with an angelic disposition.
"Yes, what might we do for you this night?" Jane asked politely, though like her brother she kept the voice dripping with a venomous tongue.

As Cynthia watched Cariven stumble around helplessly she smelled another unfamiliar vampire's scent in the air. "It don't know but stay behind me and if anything bad starts to happen I will transport you out of here." Cynthia then watched as Cariven closed her eyes in concentration. Cariven then opened her eyes and told her what the unfamiliar vampires looked like. "The Volturi." Cynthia murmured under her breath. She then turned to Cariven and warned "Don't make them mad and don't say anything. Do you understand?" She then pushed Cariven behind her back and turned to face the Volturi. She then watched as the Volturi came closer. By the looks of the vampire coming straight toward her it was Alec but were was Jane at Cynthia thought to herself. The vampire who she thought was Alec removed his hood and Cynthia then was sure that was Alec. Why did I have to be right Cynthia thought. When Alec was a few feet away from them he then asked them a question. "No we were just on our way to see the Volturi." She then looked around her and saw about five other vampires cloaked in black robes before she said "So if you would let us go that would be great."
Cynthia then noticed a small figure off in the distance and thought that it might be Jane. Cynthia then watched as five more vampires surrounded her. Great she thought to herself. The smaller figure she thought was Jane started to approach. When the vampire she thought was Jane got close enough she asked the same question as the other vampire did. "As I told the other one we were just on our way to see the Volturi."

Cariven almost smiled at the word Volturi. Most vampires would be afraid of them, and she was, yet also merely happy. She'd wanted to meet them since the time William had told her of them. She never learned much. They had been interrupted before he could tell her about the royalty. The most she knew was most of them had powers, strong powers. There were twins too. They were the most powerful, so she'd heard. Though she didn't know their names or powers, she had a clue that they were young and small. Probably around her size. Probably upset they would never become more then children, somewhat like her.
Cynthia's voice was distant, though her ears picked up the sound. She was to busy day dreaming, the only dreaming she could do. She wanted to think about the royals. How they lived in Volterra protecting the world of vampires. Most of them had been there for a long time by now and she hadn't heard of any new ones joining. She was only three months old and Cynthia did not expect the newborn to know everything yet. Sometimes if felt as though things were hidden from her. It didn't bother her much. Her friend seemed to want the best for her.
With a quick shake of her head Cariven heard Cynthia speaking. "Yes," She hissed through her pearly teeth. She wanted to talk to them. To ask questions and get answers some did not want her to know. Annoyed she let a soft sigh escape her lips. How would she make them mad? She was only a new newborn what was the most she could do to make them angry? Smile? Well, she'd be good and try to keep her mouth shut or at least till they asked her something. Cynthia was hundreds of years old, she would know what to say, unlike her.
A growl came from the girls throat as she was pushed behind Cynthia's back. Great now she was being treated like a child, she thought being fifteen forever meant she'd be somewhat be treated like an adult. Her red, glowing eyes staring where her friend's lead. Coming from a ways away were the people in her vision. The people she was more then happy to meet. The closer they came the more frightened she was. Get a hold of yourself! She yelled in her head.
As the first group stopped in front of them Cariven clenched her teeth. She knew if her heart still would beat it would be growing wild. Her cheeks would become red. She was happy to not blush at the moment. It would give away that she was in complete awe already. When the second group arrived she shifted her weight to the other leg, she had no need to though. She waited for Cynthia to answer the small figures about her size.
((I was rushed!))

Alec could feel his sister’s approach, she wasn’t too far off which he didn’t expect her to be, their parties had just parted ways not too far off. He enjoyed the fact that the vampires under him waited for no word from him to fan out and surround the two vampires. He liked that sort of power over people, then again not listening to him even when he didn’t give a command usually got you a couple of hours cut off from all of your senses. he didn’t have to look at Jane when she stood opposite him in what could be considered the circle to know that she would be itching for a chance to abuse the two in front of him. The two girls would have to watch their every muscle move around his sister or they’d get a dose of her power.
That thought almost placed a sinister smile on his small lips but he refrained from allowing his face to show any emotion in the company of the new comers. Why the two of them would be wandering around their city in the middle of the evening was beyond him. Well whatever they had come in hopes to do, they’d be doing it with the Volturi’s blessing only. His lips curved upward just slightly when Jane stood at her spot on the opposite side of him, wedging people between the two of them could be quite entertaining at times, well for the twins that is.
Alec had heard the short exchange between the two vampires, something about transporting out of the city. That was curious, he want to know what that meant at some point tonight, though not as much as what Aro would. If the two in front of him had some sort of abilities with them, then he figured they may have sought the Volturi out. That could be a successful trip or if it wasn’t one that was worthy enough, it could be the last visit you make any where. Only time would tell and his patience was diminishing more and more the longer he stood here.
When the one that pushed the red eyed vampire behind her spoke, Alec decided she’d be the one he’d be focusing on more tonight, since she seemed to have a bit of an attitude when speaking to him. He wasn’t very fond of her tone which caused his facial features to harden. Though he looked like a mere child he didn’t appreciate being treated like one. “Well if your looking for the Volturi then we’re more help to you then you think”
Alec hissed slightly. “You obviously don’t know how this works. You don’t just get to come to our city and walk through like its some resort. Coming and going as you please doesn’t happen.” Alec informed them as his tone pick up a colder edge too, one similar to the one used by his sister moments before.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

When Cariven replied through her teeth she felt bad about keeping this from her but it was just something she didn't need to know at the minute or ever. Cynthia then put a serious face on her face or was at least attempting to. Cynthia also realized that she would have to be a bit more respectful to them, all she came for was to come and show Cariven to Aro like he asked her to, he just didn't know much about her powers yet. Why did Will have to tell Cariven about the Volturi Cynthia thought. Cynthia knew that if it wasn't for Will she probably wouldn't be in this mess. Behide her Cynthia heard Cariven's teeth clench together. She wanted to tell her that everything fine but that would be a huge lie. I don't see how this could be much worse she thought to herself. She could actually think of things worse than this but didn't want to think about them.
As Cynthia looked at the figure which she assumed was Alec she saw his lips curl up slightly and she realized that the figure she thought was Jane was sending people to wedge between Cariven and her. It just got worse she thought. Cynthia knew that Cariven could see her anytime so she would be fine and she could still transport her if it came to that but really hoped that it wouldn't. What made Cynthia boil with rage is that the twins would enjoy this too. Cynthia then forced her face to harden so that she wouldn't show any emotion to what they were doing. She then looked around and saw that others weren't coming. That's good only twelve Cynthia thought to try and calm done a bit more.
When the one she thought was Alec spoke she realized Aro probably hadn't told them about their visit he should be expecting soon. "Not to be rude but I do know it works around here. We are not coming for site seeing or anything we were invited," more like forced Cynthia thought but didn't want to tell them that, "To come and see Aro here, so he should be expecting us very soon." Cynthia had tried hard to say that very calmly. Cynthia hoped that they would believe her, since it was the truth, and just take them there without having to get into an argument or whatever you would call what was happening.
((Sorry it's so small))

Jane was once calm, she mentally had to restrain herself whilst Alec replied to the girl who had just moments earlier practically insulted the lot of them. She felt a few vampires by her sides twitching, obviously feeling the same way. She held her hands at her sides, raised only slightly as if to keep the vampires steady. She too had to maintain her cool, it was far too early unfortunately to have her fun.
"I, don't mean to be rude." She hissed, no longer being able to stay silent. The girl clearly had no idea how much authority the twins had on the Guard. They were very highly ranked members, and she would not be stomped on like low life children. No, not Jane Devilli of the Volturi, she had far too much admiration for that to be her downfall. And for a mere child to try and treat her this way, just infuriated her even more so. " My brother, let me." She smiled a wicked grin that now was displayed to all as she reviled herself to the girls before her and the rest of the guard. One of the men at her side hesitated lightly, he knew her too well, this could go only two ways, and neither of them would be pleasurable for the young ones.
"You seem to be confused. We are the Volturi. "She paused, letting that sink in to the girls apparently thick skulls. "The guards to be precise, meaning my dear child, that if you wish to get to Aro, as you seem to think that he is expecting you, by all means, we are not stopping you. In fact, we encourage it." her voice was very calm, yet it had that disgusted tone that one would have if speaking to far lower class than oneself. Jane may look like a twelve year old, but she was centuries old, and would not be talked down to by a stupid child and her pet newborn.
"Now then," she said once again calm, trying to maintain that idea even though she wanted to rip the girl's throat out for being so rude. "We, the VOLTURI, would like to know a few things before you are brought to Aro. After all, not all his guests get to have a meeting with him personally. In fact, most don't make it, that far. "The last few words of her sentence were slow and precise, over emphasized for results. Her rather evil smirk was still glued to her face, her eyes still narrowed in disgust towards their 'guests'.
Jane began circling the girls, though her guard stayed in position, she and Alec were both in the center along with the two vampires. One of her elite nodded to her, it was very helpful to have those few vampires privileged with powers, to identify talent, on her team. "Ah, so, you have unique powers I gather, hence the trip to see Aro perhaps? To see Us?" her eyebrow raised in question. If these two did not co-operate with her now, they would feel the pain of their actions. Not often was it that she got to have so much fun on the job. But these two seemed special, not in the way that Aro may see it perhaps, but as Caius might. He after all was the one who sided with the twins most of the time, Aro would be the last resort if Jane and Alec couldn't get through to the girls, whether they had special powers or not. Nothing, could allow them to escape, not even some magical power….

Cariven's red eyes rolled in annoyance as they talked. She wanted to just barge in and start talking about anything other then this. She hated when people would fight or disagree. They would chatter on about their options when they could just come to a point and leave it at that. So what they felt like yelling at each other it was more fun to do something useful. This was a waste of time though they had plenty of time to spare. Even with that though the newborn still protected her time as though she would die any second. With the Volturi Guard surrounding them they defiantly had a chance at that.
A smile spread across her face. She could use her powers to entertain her. She closed her eyes and let pictures of William spread through her mind. He was talking to another manger of some company called, Queens. He was, like normal, selling his insurance and getting what he wanted. He smiled, showing his pearl teeth and nodding. "We have a deal!" He said happily. Obviously he didn't know about the chimes. He ignored her and continued to tell the other man about the great opportunities he now had.
Her vision was interrupted as they spoke louder. She'd heard everything they had said so far, but she could no longer pretend they were not there. She already knew they were the Volturi, yet she was more interested in meeting Aro or the other main Volturi. None the less they were still royalty and she couldn't help from keeping a soft smile on her lips. She listened to Alec's words. She knew that no one could come and go as they pleased. Actually she wasn't sure why they were so close to the city anyways. Cynthia had simply said that she wanted her to meet someone, but was this who she was referring to.
When other vampires began wedging between her and Cynthia a soft growl came from her throat. She was starting to feel uncomfortable now. Her fingers curved into white claws. Her muscles were growing tense and she was ready to spring if she had to. She fought to keep her cool though. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath before reopening her eyes and concentrating on what was happening. Jane's voice was hard in her head making every word stay. She began to circle making her bite her lip to stop from growling again.
Cariven could not stay silent any longer. Her bell voice ringing, yet stayed Farley soft. "Yes, we have powers. Um, well, I guess my powers are like a tracker's. I can see and hear people anytime I wish. Therefore I can hear and see anyone they are also speaking with. This way I can find them easily. I'm also trying to show other vampires what I see, but Cynthia has only seen a quick glimpse." She grew quiet and crossed her arms behind her back. "Maybe I could try to show you. I'm not sure how it would work, though. Or you can have me see and hear someone it's completely up to you."
((Sry I was rushing it))

Keeping his calm in situations like this was something that Alec usually did with ease, it took a lot more to break him down then it did his sister. But he didn’t like it when he was undermined or insulted which is basically what happened with the girl moments before. His burgundy eyes were smouldering now as he looked at the new comers standing before him. He could feel Jane stir beside him, it was never a wise move to insult the Volturi in anyway, even if your words weren’t intended to be insults. His eyes only left the two girls when he noticed one vampire from his party stirred taking a step forward, his look was enough to tell the vampire to go back to where he’d been standing.
Being talked down to was always something that would bother him more then anything else, along with people assuming that he and his sister had no authority whatsoever. In fact they were rather important members, and getting under their skin was not where you wanted to start your visit to Volterra. Alec didn’t have to turn to look at his sister to know the grin that was appearing on her lips as she spoke. “They’re all yours”
he said his own lips curving upwards into a sinister smile, almost wanting to let a shrill laugh but kept himself standing still at his sister’s side, his eyes flickering from one girl to the other. He didn’t miss the hesitation of the guy on her other side, they all knew how this was going to end, the two in the middle wouldn’t like it but the twins would have an enjoyable time. It had been too long since he’d joined in on the torture, and frankly he felt deprived. While his sister addressed the two young vampires Alec kept his eyes on the girls watching for their reactions. His interested was peeked slightly when the one doing all the talking mentioned that they’d been invited here by Aro. Of course it could still be a very dreadful ending for the two of them if he didn’t felt hey were quipped well enough to join them. If Aro was expecting the two of them like she said, he knew they’d be there eventually after running into the twins. Alec and Jane were very thorough with the visitors or invited company at Volterra Alec’s smile when from being just sinister to a mix of that and smugness as his sister continued to speak with the two girls, or rather dictate how things were going to happen from this point on. As if in sync, Alec moved to circle around the girls when Jane did but in the opposite direction. There was definitely some potential with the two of them, more so even once they learned how to control their tongue, which would keep them out of harms way. Alec was coming up on the younger of the two and caught her eye roll which wasn’t too pleasing to him. Stopping where he was for a moment, hands draped at his side his finger twitched and he looked up to where his sister stood seeing if she had caught that. Her smile in her current position wasn’t something he would have expected and he was mildly curious as to why she felt the need to smile. Just as he was about to move on in his path she growled, which wasn’t smart that could have, and still may cause her pain. “I think we’re making someone a bit uncomfortable.” he mused deciding that he’d stay where he was, new born vampires could be fun. Alec listened to the youngest speak, kid of all at once letting everything out. He watched her carefully as she spoke she seemed eager to get the meeting started. When she was finished Alec crossed his arms over his chest contemplating what she’d just said while turning his eyes back to Jane, wanting to get her opinion on the girl silently before stating anything aloud,[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Cynthia stiffened as Jane talked, she had obviously got on there bad side all ready. Great Cynthia complained to herself. Jane then continued talking to her like she was a newborn vampire and didn't know anything. Jane then smirked as she finished her sentence. "And what is it that you would like to know?" Cynthia asked in the most polite way she could. She then watched as Jane started to circle her inside the little circle they were trapped in. Cynthia then tuned in to what Jane was saying. "Well Aro is mostly interested in Cariven's power," Cynthia nudged her head back toward Cariven, "Than mine, that is if he even knows I have powers." She then realized that their was no chance of escaping this, even if she transported Cariven and her out of there they would still probably go after them until they would find them.
Behind her Cynthia heard Cariven snarl and Cynthia wasn't really surprised she knew that she would do something like that. But what really surprised Cynthia was when out of nowhere she heard Cariven's soft, musical voice. No! Cynthia screamed to herself as she listened to what Cariven was saying. How could she be so stupid? Cynthia thought to herself. Cariven was telling them about her powers. It just got a lot worse Cynthia thought. She then looked over at Alec and Jane, they didn't show any emotion but Cynthia knew that it was just an act that they put up. Cynthia then turned her head and gave Cariven a I-Can't-Believe-What-You-Just-Did look, she then turned her head back.
When Alec spoke Cynthia flinched at his words, she then saw his eyes watching them closely, probably for our reaction she thought. She then straighted up and put a serious face on. A little later he joined in to the circle along with Jane. When Alec remarked about Cariven's snarl she couldn't help but to let a soft snarl escape her lips. When Cariven had fished talking she saw Alec cross his arms over his chest. Great he heard her Cynthia thought sarcastically. She knew that he then would probably want to talk to Jane now about what he had just heard. It just keeps getting better and better she couldn't help but think.

She honestly wasn't really all that interested in what the girls had to say, nor was she ever really interested, more she was amused by the reactions that they gave off, and these two were classic examples of the awkwardness that ensued when the twins were let loose. Of course when the twins actually let themselves loose then all would be screaming and havoc from the center of that circle, but Jane thought she was doing rather well keeping herself as composed as she was right now.
Her eyes narrowed when she heard a growl leave the young one who had just spilled her guts. If they had hoped to join the Volturi as they seemed to eager to be, there were a few mannerisms and attitude adjustments that would have to happen first. Jane looked over at her brother who had his eye on Cariven, very closely observing her every move. Her ruby red eyes then went back to Cynthia, the girl who was the leader of the two from the looks of it, judging by her stance as the protector, and the way she acted as though she knew what she was doing, even though she was doing a horrid job at it. "Cariven." She said flatly after listening to the girl as she spoke of her own powers, and finally got a name for the young one from the elder girl. She instinctively moved closer to her pushing Cynthia out of the way, the group of vampires surrounding ensured that she would not make it too far if she tried to escape the circle. Now Alec stood on one side of the girl and Jane in front of her, almost inspecting her as the girl offered to demonstrate her powers. "No, that will not be necessary, yet. If Caius wishes to see them, I am sure he will ask for it." Yes she said Caius, she favoured him over Aro when it came to new comers seeking to get into the Volturi, of course she loved Aro dearly, but his judgement was sometimes clouded by his own personal greed, if she did bring the two to the rest of the Volturi, she was not bringing them to Aro directly.
"Perhaps a bit uncomfortable, you may be right brother." She conquered with her twin, if not a bit late, but she was a bit focussed on what was going on around them. "Though I am sure, now more than anything she is far from comfortable. Isn't that right young one?" she said holding out a hand to the newborn. This was not exactly a gesture to take lightly. She didn't really have any intentions of harming her at this particular second, if anything she wanted Cynthia as her play toy right now. Cariven probably would make a good recruit once she was trained up a bit. She did not hold her hand out long; only long enough to brush her fingers through the vampire's hair, yanking out a few strands, bring the loose strands to her nose and smelt them thoroughly before handing them to the guard behind her, who stuffed them away in a pocket. "I am sorry if that caused you pain." She said with a rather sadistic smirk, "I could cause worse…." She looked back at the elder vampire who seemed to be rather angry by this point; one could not blame her to be honest. But she was not keen on having the two girls together any more; something about their connection didn't sit well with Jane. "And what might your power be?" she asked rather redundantly. The words fell through her teeth crisp and clear with power behind them, making herself seem more demanding now rather than conversational.
She nodded towards the man behind Cynthia at this time that ensured that the young vampire did not go anywhere. "What is your name?" She did not remember hearing that particular name come from the young lady. She was getting anxious now, she wanted to have this over and done with. But knew that her wish may take a while to come true, after all, her other wish- to be completely dead- had yet to happen either.

Cariven knew she had to keep calm. At any minute she might jump for someone if she did not. Already she was telling herself constantly to not move. Everyone around her was tense as well it seemed. She could tell Cynthia was. From the second she had began to speak her friend had stood straighter and was uncomfortable. It was no match to the Newborn's feelings though. She felt like she was ready to explode and was struggling to stay where she was as if nothing was happening. Her claw like hands moved into fist. She took a deep breath, smelling all of the vampires surrounding her.
As Alec stared at her she glared back for a quick moment. Her eyes then traveled to Cynthia. She could see her face hard and angry. She didn't look at her for long. With the face she was giving her she was surprised she hadn't looked away earlier. She could feel Alec's presence on her side. She was uncomfortable, very uncomfortable. There was no way she could escape. Even if Cynthia would transport her out of here it would only be seconds before she would once again be caught.
She shivered as Alec said she was uncomfortable. Was she really that bad at hiding it? Shivering for no reason must of given her away even more. She could somewhat remember the last time she had shivered. Cariven was a human, still full of blood and her heart still beating. It was cold. Snowflakes fell slowly from the sky. Her cheeks were red, something she no longer had. Her eyes glittering hazel. Her mother watching from a nearby window as she twirled around in the snow, like a child again. These memories were hard to see, but somehow she'd remembered.
Cariven blinked as she heard Jane speak her name. Her hands curling into tighter fists as Jane pushed Cynthia a side. She knew Cynthia would not enjoy that. She focused on the small girl stopping in front of her. They were about the same height. She held her breath as Jane pulled a few of her hairs out. She felt another shiver go down her spine. Her eyes closed and she began to breath once again. She shook her head answering the older vampire, yet there was no true question. She knew Jane was not going to harm her, or at least for a while, but she still was uneasy.
Once again Cariven felt trapped. The Volturi guard had made sure someone was watching her. Not like she would have the guts to run anyways. She relaxed slightly knowing she was no longer being spoke to. Alec had not made a motion to move yet. She was not as afraid of him as his sister. Jane was the one that made sure you feared her before anything else. She wanted badly to answer the girl for Cynthia, but decided to keep her mouth shut instead.
