As the sun rose around 6 am the soft breeze fluttered the curtains apart letting a thin beam of light float across the room and directly on the face of a sleeping Seth Clearwater. The reaction was more than usual for the immortal sixteen year old that grunted and groaned from his deep slumber one eye winced open to glare at the gap in the fluttering curtains and snarled an undistinguishable mutter under his breath. His hands came to the top of his head and brushing them lightly through a mound of untidy dark hair and he closed his eyes for a brief moment to collect his thoughts.
After a few long seconds Seth shot up only to smack his head off his head board and curl up from the irritating pain followed by a course of cursing and the odd “Shoot!” as he clasped his head and shifted from his bed to his dresser. Blinking in annoyance and wincing as another shot of irritating pain stretched across his scalp and he lent into glance into his mirror brushing his messy hair apart to look for signs of blood or bruising. Though deep down he knew that even if it were to mark it would of already healed by now and with another grunt he continued to grab the clock from his bedside table.
It currently read 6:15 am and he tutted before sitting on the edge of his bed contemplating whether it was worth the extra forty minutes sleep he would get before his stupid sister Leah Clearwater the morning banshee would attempt to wake him up for school. He had only got two hours sleep much to his own disgust. Night patrols really took of him and he often thought about confronting Jake about getting his night shifts moved to a weekend but his lower rank than the other made him hesitate about taking the chance. His respect for Jake and his decisions were way too great.
Though lasts night patrol wasn’t particularly enjoyable. He had been told to run round the Forks side of the border at about midnight accompanied by the howling wind and the rain that seem to pour sideways and straight into Seth’s eyes, much to his annoyance. His fur became very heavy and a little awkward to run in as the water seeped into it only to create an irritating mist as it hit the heat from his skin. It was around three in the morning before Seth had a chance to take a break, wet right through he made his way back to Jake to be dismissed only to be sent back out again on the case of a possible threat sighting made by Embry only found to be some deranged hobo much to Seth’s disappointment. He was finally dismissed from his eventful night at around four.
With a big yawn Seth continued to try to make something of his hair before pulling on a pair of shorts and wondering down to the kitchen with a heavy thud of the stairs. Rubbing his eyes awake he placed his usual helping of 6 slices of toast and sat staring at the toaster while gulping milk out of the carton. It was normally at this point that his sister would smack him round the head for having no manners but he pretty much was off the hook as he only just heard Leah stir awake. With a smug smile he ate his toast in silence as he slowly woke up and after getting dressed he head off to school.
The journey was somewhat a daydream only to be shrugged awake by a school friend as their bus arrived at the correct stopped. It didn't make the whole ordeal any easier when he was doing he one thing he hated most which was been in education but what was worse the second time under jake's orders. The same daydream continued throughout the morning only to come to head in his maths lesson where he rested his arms across the table only to drift sleep companied by faint breathing. After around ten minutes, he was awoken by a sharp jab in the ribs by some unknown person and his tutor staring at him from across the room with violent frustration, “Mr Clearwater… if you persist to fall asleep in my class I will be forced to fail you for this semester! Do I make myself clear!” With a grunt and a grumble Seth simply answered with, “Yes sir.” before glancing down at his text book. “And I suggest Mr Clearwater that maybe going to bed early instead of running around the streets with your little friends might be more appropriate on a school night…” With a brief nod he continued with his equations only to add with the low mutter of, “If only it was that easy…”

The morning had come; Jake was finally tucked up in bed with his woman by his side, that was a miracle, honestly. It had taken Edward years to let her sleep over, but as far as parents were concerned that’s all that ever happened. And last night, that was all that DID happen.
Jake had been up all night, Sam had called him up at 11pm and told him that they saw something, Paul had gone off to track it and was attacked. He had no idea what it was but it looked like a rogue wolf of some sort. So naturally, under their agreement for two packs in La Push, one would aid the other. Jake called it an early night with Renesmee and headed off to work. Renesmee of course stayed up most of the night worrying about him and his safety, in that respect she reminded him so much of her mother.
Paul, Jared, Collin and Brady were the one who had gone off to chase after the 'terrorist' as Luke- one of the new recruits, had called it. Jake arrived shortly after Paul's attack with Seth, Leah, Embry, Quil and who ever else of his pack he could find. Together the two packs of Quileute Werewolves hunted until nearly four in the morning calling it quits, Seth and Embry managed to track down a hobo who seemed terrified out of his mind when two gigantic wolves stumbled upon him. Paul caught a rabbit, Jared, Sam, Jake and Quil all came up empty handed along with the rest of the packs members. It was along night. Usually it wouldn't have been so bad, but he was going to school tomorrow, the first time going to Forks as well, so this could be interesting. And what's more, Seth was determined to accompany Jake to school, to bone up on grade 11 again, and 'relive the experience'. Jake had relived grade eleven and grade twelve a few times now and honestly the experience was still the same- stupid kids, stupid teachers.
He snuck back into bed that night immediately heating up the cold house, and moderately cold bed that his fiancée had been inhabiting. He closed his eyes and wrapped a now human hand around her waist before falling asleep.
~
"The time is 6:00 and welcome to a brand new day! Monday morning and the kids are off to their first day of school! Good Luck parents!" the alarm clock radio went off and two people groaned from the bed, one being Jake, the other he recognised as Renesmee Cullen.
"Come on babe, time for school." He muttered flopping out of bed not really caring that he didn’t bother to put the shorts on properly last night, somehow he managed to put them on backwards. Half asleep still he wandered to his closet and pulled out a pair of jean shorts that didn't look too ripped and a black t-shirt and pulled them on running a hand through his hair and claiming he was ready to go. He knew of course Renesmee would take a bit longer and headed into the kitchen to make some waffles. "Hon, do you want some waffles or did you wanna wait until we go hunting in two days before you eat?" He heard a muffled, half asleep response that he couldn't understand, but figured it was a no for the waffles. She wasn't too keen on human food, even though she was half human. He made up 10 waffles and a three cups of coffee and had it all basically finished by the time she was ready to go.
The one good thing about living with the Cullen's and being almost related to Edward Cullen, was that you got a cool car. He had recently been graced with the privilege of owning an expensive car, Edward would not have his daughter in some piece of crap car after all. So he and Edward went shopping and finally landed on a Bugatti Veyron in black. After starting up the car he called back in that he was going to her house whether she was coming or not, which sent her flying out the door and into the passenger seat within seconds, and also deserved him a soft hit that he didn't really feel. Renesmee too hand learned not to hit Jake hard, or you would break a limb just on how tough his body really was.
Shortly thereafter they arrived at the Cullen home and greeted Carlisle as he started off on his long drive to Port Angeles for work. Esme coddled her granddaughter and did the whole usually speech about being in any trouble tell her father or mom, or Jake and they would be there in a second, and if any teachers were mean to let her know and Esme would go in and take care of them. And then Jake got a kiss on the cheek and they were told not to bother going back to the cottage as her parents were already on their way up.
Renesmee went with Edward, and Bella drove herself being the girlfriend and boyfriend Jake and Bella didn't think it wise to arrive all in the same vehicle all the time with the Cullen 'Twins'.
Bella followed directly after and about five minutes later Jake did too. Esme gave Jake a box of cookies, one for him that she had made, the other was blood cookies for Renesmee. Esme had been practising her cooking skills again. And honestly he would let Nessie go at the cookies, the blood ones didn't sound to appetizing and they were a funny shade of red too….
Once he got there he found Nessie with her locker beside Bella, or "Izzie" as she was supposed to be called now. Edward was clinging to Bella and Seth was two lockers down from Jake, who was right beside Nessie, half asleep. "Seth! Wake up! Go to class!" he chuckled before kissing 'Vanessa' on the lips. The three of them were all in the same Math class together. "Later Edward, Ella." He hated Izzie, and knew that Bella did too, so being the boy that he was, he re-nicknamed Bella. "Come on Vanessa, Seth." He said wrapping an arm around his girlfriend before heading towards Math.
Not long into the lesson he glanced around at the people in the room, some where righting notes, some where staring into space, Nessie was just staring at him… and then Seth was starting to snore. He tried not to laugh as the teacher gave him nuts for falling asleep. Jake made a mental note: Seth needs more sleep on a school night….

Seth let the slight grown fall from his lips. Eyeing his tutor rather frustrated though they drooped for a split second before he held them open with a piercing scowl. If only the tutor knew he was only here out of convenience rather than required than he wouldn’t of wasted his breath oh so easy
He glanced down at his text book once more and read for a paragraph or some still not taking in what was required. How could he not understand! I mean he had to have done this before right? La Push could not have a different curriculum than forks could it? Man this was so frustrating! He just was relieved that if he failed then at least in a few years time he could re enrol into another high school without much notice. He smirked at that thought before he glanced back up.
The tutor had yet again decided to spend his try glaring at him rather than getting on with the “useful” things he was sure he had. Man he had it in for him today! Though Seth kind of figured it was mostly down to the fact he hadn’t handed in the last three assignments. Yeah that was enough to hate anyone. Seth watched him shake his head before going back to mark the last batch of assignment he hadn’t handed in.
His eyes moved around the room from pure boredom, before glancing around at a rather amused Jake who seemed that his situation at the moment was absolutely hilarious. Oh yea what a comedian. He glared at him and rolled his eyes before muttering under his breath, “think you could help me rather than using me as entertainment to you own boredom man...I haven’t a ” And with that the booming voice from the front the class echoed round the room, ”Seth Clearwater! I have told you numerous of times to be quiet! How are you expected to pass this year if you continue to do the completely opposite! This is not a day care centre! Work! Now!” [/i] With a slight glare at Jacob and a snarled, mutter under his breath he was sat back staring at the text book he still had no clue about. Well at least there was only 10 minutes to lunch. That always made him happy. [/blockquote]

Jake smirked as Seth tried to blame him for the fact that Seth was falling asleep. It was true, if it hadn't been for the red alert last night Seth would have been home sleeping. However, Red Alerts, are not something to pick and choose pack members with, if you’re a wolf your on alert. That was the thing Jake hated about it as well. Honestly, he would have been happier just to sit at home with his fiancée all night and fall asleep with her, rather than hours after she went to bed.
But Jake had gotten used to being up at ridiculous times of the night, after all he lived with vampires for a good twenty or so years, so it wasn't unusual to have a meeting at four in the morning about something. And when he was on patrol in Sam's pack, and his pack for that matter, he lacked sleep so often, Bella had to constantly remind him to sleep. He hated it when she did that, it was moments like that when he remembered when Bella needed sleep to function, and the countless times they fell asleep at his house in La Push just dead from being on their feet all day long. It was hard, their life when Bella was human. It had gotten far less complicated now that the part of Bella that truly loved him, was now his to have and to hold. Nothing could replace the way Renesmee felt about him, or his feelings for her, she was his life as Bella was Edwards.
As Seth started talking again to him, Jake just rolled his eyes in amusement, he would be hearing about this one for a while, Seth wasn't one to let go of things easily. As the teacher yelled at Seth one more time he nodded to the boy as if to tell him that was enough for now. He was Alpha after all, what he said went with school as well as wolf pack business. If Seth got detention, he wouldn't make afternoon rounds, and Jake needed him for that. When the teacher wasn't looking, he threw a note at Seth that read:
Cool it okay. You're off night shift on weekdays, you are on Saturdays and Sundays now though. Full time. I need you awake for afternoon shifts. You still able to make today?
J.B
He had hoped the teacher wouldn't catch him, however he wasn't so lucky. The teacher snatched the ball of a note in mid air, almost too good of a catch. It was at that point he did the typical- "Do you have something to share with the class" bull that all teachers said before reading a note publicly. Jake had perfected his note writing over the years so that not much could be deciphered about outside immortal events when read publicly to a bunch of teenage mortals.
He gave the standard 'no' answer, before the teacher unrolled the ball and read it in his mind silently. "So, you two work together?" he let out a small huff, figuring both Jake and Seth were trouble, since both were native and not attending school on the Rez, something had to be wrong with them…
"Yes, Mr. Wolfe that is a good idea." He gave a curt nod before slamming the un-crumpled note on Seth's desk to read before he headed back to the front to continue the class.
